Main Characters:
Lani. She is a magnificent 4 year old black female, with stunning golden eyes. She is tall, with long, skinny legs that aid her in hunting. She is the dominant breeding female.

Kaiao. He is a year old normal grey wolf, skinny, and nerdy. He was taken in by Lani one snowy night, which is very rare.

Koa, *DECEASED*. He is a large white 4 year old male. He is quite bulky. He was the dominant breeding male. Killed by poisoned water, plus a skirmish.

Aka. She is a brown, with a muscular build, great for hunting. 2 years old, Lani's oldest daughter.

Maka Koa- She is a 2 week old pup, daughter of Lani. When she grows up, she will be a beautiful white female, her eyes a pretty amber color.

Nahoa- He is a 2 week old pup, son of Lani. When he grows up, he will be massive grey wolf, with dark golden eyes.

Polunu- He is a 2 weeks old pup, son of Lani. When he grows up, he will be big, like Nahoa, but very plump, fat almost.

Laka- She is a 2 week old pup, daughter of Lani. When she grows up, she will be a little small, but a very beautiful chestnut colored coat, with various creamy vanilla hairs.

Lae'ula- She is a pale brown female, 2 years old. Lani's oldest daughter.

Chapter 1 (Renovated)
Rain poured down, the drops drumming steadily on the used, old den of a family of five. A beautiful black female wolf watched the rain with her golden eyes, 4 young pups nursing from her. This was the perfect life. Not for her. Lani, this female, lost her mate due to severely poisoned water. The pups had would never meet their father. The only image they would have would be stories. Lani began to feel worried. How could she run her pack and raise 4 pups without a mate by her side? Her three oldest daughters surely couldn't help for long, they were to leave soon. Then she heard a voice coming at the edge of her den. She recognized it; a wolf they had taken in when he was sick, Kaiao. "Yes?" Lani said, and soon the skinny, wimpy male, appeared, his tail tucked and low to the ground, "Ms. Lani, I was requested by Aka to accompany her with Lae'ula and Kei. May I go?" he said, keeping low in submission. Lani sighed, and nodded her approval. Kaiao smiled, and ran to Aka. Lani sighed, and rested her head on her paws, her pups bundled close together. What was she going to do? Oh, Koa, I dearly miss you. What do I do now? She thought. The rain soon came to a soft mist, then none. The sun began to nose it's way through the clouds, and warmed the hard, packed Wyoming sand.
