Everything is not as it seems...(A novel.)
Alright, so this is a novel that I recently finished so I'm going to post one chapter every week and let you guys tell me what you think and what I could improve so, here we go :)
Prologue
Hey there! If you’re reading this you might be trying to get my personal information to personally destroy me, like Eric, but other people need to know what I’ve been going through, normal people who are not at the lab. By reading this book you’re putting yourself in danger. I understand if you don’t want to take that chance, its okay, just put it down now but if you don’t please try to find someone who has enough courage and curiosity to read this.
The story starts when I was twelve years old. My mom had just recently died in a car accident and my dad. Well let’s just say he didn’t exactly love me after I burned the house down by accident. This is why I don’t really talk about him much. So because of all that poor little twelve year old me with my golden hair that was only a little away from touching my shoulders then and my light blue, almost gray, eyes was left wandering through the streets of New York.
One day I was just walking along minding my own business (Well unless you count stealing breakfast but it wasn’t like I had a choice so I don’t think that counts) when this white van drove up by the sidewalk and some people came out. One was a man with dark hair who I would later know as Sebastian the head Scientist. The other one was a woman with brown hair that I still don’t know. There were also two kids that got out. The two kids were Dark Specials, Specials that had chosen to help the scientists. You’ll see what a Special is in a moment.
The two kids came at me. One came from behind and shot sharp shards of ice at my back to take me by surprise. He looked to be about 16 or so and the other boy had light, mocha brown hair and deep brown eyes, later known as Eric. I would have thought he was really cute had he not been shifting into a wolf to try and attack me. I remember the shards hitting my back and without even turning, lifting the boy in the air using telekinesis and shot fire at Eric. Yeah, I’m what one might call a mutant. A freak. A Special. Welcome to my seriously messed up life.
I don’t remember much after that considering one of The Scientists hit me with a sleep dart. When I woke up I was in The Lab. There was a girl in the cage next to me that had long blonde hair and blue green eyes that reminded me of the ocean. Her name’s Sapphire and we’re best friends, practically sisters. I’m Elizabeth Lee Woods and this is my story.
Also, please do not steal this story because I am planning on trying to get it actually published soon, thank you.
